2025 Summer Internship Information
Carmel Unified School District Students will have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience while learning about water and wastewater careers.
Open House: Parent/Student Night:
- March 11th from the hours of 5 p.m to 7 p.m.
- Located at The Treatment Plant (26900 Route 1, Carmel)
- Students and parents are invited to attend a tour of the Treatment Plant and Reclamation facility. Staff will be presenting information on each job class, providing safety information, and will be available for questions.
Job Application Period Opens:
- March 1st through March 31, 2025

Interviews Will Occur:
- March 31st through April 4th
Intern Announcement:
- April 14th announcement of selected interns
Duration of Internship:
- One Internship: 7 weeks from June 9th through August 1st
- (There will be a break the Week of June 30th through July 4th)
- Hours and Days are flexible: Typical work week is Monday through Thursday
- 3.5 hours per day

Summer Internships:
Students may select between paid or service learning hours (volunteer hours). Internships are offered for youth entering 11th and 12th grade. The slected interns will have the opportunity to complete the application process and participate in a job interview and the onboarding process.
