Carmel Area Wastewater District (CAWD) will be considering revisions to our existing ordinances that pertain to the control of fats, oils, and grease (FOG) from food service establishments in our service area. The ordinance revisions are proposed to be adopted during a public hearing at our Board Meeting on September 26th, 2024 at 9 AM at the District Office at 3945 Rio Rd in Carmel.
We will be holding an informational meeting prior to the public hearing to provide a forum for public questions regarding the District’s ordinances and how we plan to enforce grease control measures in restaurants. The informational meeting will be held on September 4th, 2024 at 9 AMat the District office at 3945 Rio Rd in Carmel.
We encourage food service establishment Owner(s) and Manager(s) to attend the public meetings described above. Our intention is to partner with restaurants to implement solutions where problems may exist.
