Carmel Woods and Pescadero Road Sewer Improvement Project

Overview

This project is currently in the design stage and would not go into construciton until 2027. The project would upgrade sewerage conveyance facilities in Carmel Woods and along Pescadero Road.

The project is at the begining of the design stage. Prior to commencing detailed design CAWD will be reaching out to residents to explain the proposed work and request feedback.

The work along Pescadero Rd would include installing a new pipeline in the street to convey sewage from the upper Carmel Woods area, and by rehabilitation (slip-lining) of the existing sewer downslope of houses along Pescadero Road. By constructing the new sewer in Pescadero Road to convey upstream flows, the slip-lined portion of pipe would only handle sewage from about 20 houses along Pescadero.

The project would not require any homeowners to install ejector pumps.
